In the tranquil south-west, the local chapter had organised a KiTa as a conference venue, where we met with around 60 people (somewhat smaller and cosier than the last overall meetings).

On Friday evening, as always, a planned public event took place: "We won't be able to help you - militarisation in the healthcare system" - Claudia Haydt (Informationsstelle Militarisierung e.V.) and Bernhard Winter (Verein demokratischer Ärzt*innen) were invited, who was unfortunately unable to attend for personal reasons, but Michael Janßen was able to stand in for him.

On Saturday we shared news from the working groups in the "World Cafe", had some internal matters of the syndicate to discuss and the afternoon was characterised by the various workshops.

This year's general meeting not only focussed on exchanging ideas, but also on discussing current topics relating to health, solidarity and international perspectives. Discussion, reflection and knowledge sharing took place in various workshops. Here is an overview of the workshops offered on the topics of public benefit, health in democratic confederalism (Red Crescent, Kurdistan), militarisation of the healthcare system, international polyclinics - transnational perspectives on health and discrimination in the healthcare system - focus on anti-Palestinian racism.

We ended Saturday with a nice and relaxed evening in a pub (the death of culture and nightclubs is clearly evident in Freiburg - the local group was unable to find an available location for the traditional dance party despite several months' notice).

On Sunday, as always, we started a little tired with a few organisational points from the syndicate before finishing off with a left-wing historical tour of the Haslach district.
